The Background

Known as the noodle cup with a smile, Maruchan is a global leader in the instant noodle space. Growing a modern brand presence in recent years led them to collaborate with agencies like The Secret Sauce Society for event production and LOVEWHAT for creative direction and design.

Their Festival of Lights event, brought to Southern California throughout December, served as a brand activation and a launch point for consumers familiar with the product but not the updated brand identity.

The Strategy

At the heart of Maruchan's ethos is a tangible, relatable, and outright fun attitude that pairs equally with the brand's flavors. Our job was to meet at the intersection of Maruchan's core identity and the festivities of the holiday season.

The Solution

Through this collaboration, we delivered various holiday designs utilized across the environment, including signage, ephemera, noodle cups, wallpapers, and floor patterns.
