THE
PROBLEM
KickinTheirBass is looking to greatly improve a poorly optimized Shopify site that they believe can be better leveraged to enhance customer purchase flows, overall design, and promotional opportunities.
OBjectives
1. Build…
a conversion focused website that capitalizes on high inbound volume from social platforms.
2. Optimize…
mobile variants to reduce customer friction.
3. Reduce…
cognitive load on potential customers by being product forward and taking a "less is more approach."
4. Organize…
multiple product lines into an easy to navigate menu and home page.
5. Leverage…
promotional opportunities to increase likelihood of conversions.
6. Prepare…
KickinTheirBass' website to scale easily with more products.
Approach
Below are three solutions for your site. Option 2 details our recommended path with LVWHT, while Options 1 and 3 are realistic external alternatives for your consideration.
OPTION 1
Native Shopify
Theme-based build
Pros
Easy to edit after hand off
Full native plugin support
Cons
Limited customization
Cookie-cutter results
Summary
Rearranging the current structure would result in a similar look and feel with marginal benefit. I would not offer this because I could not justify the cost to the client for marginal gain.
Low Cost
Low Reward
Non-LVWHT Solution
OPTION 2
Shopify Headless & Framer
Custom Storefront via API
Pros
Near-limitless visual customization
Shopify backend fully intact: products, analytics, sales
Adding new products to Shopify will auto-populate on Framer with one click by hitting "Sync" on the CMS
Scales easily, cart reminders, upsells, discounts, still functional
Cons
Some front-end plugins still in development
Extra layer to manage (not meaningfully harder)
Summary
Many leading brands use Shopify strictly as a commerce engine, building a fully custom frontend on top of it. This gives us complete design and performance control, no theme limitations, no compromises, with a storefront engineered specifically around conversion.
Cost Efficient

LVWHT Solution
OPTION 3
Custom Shopify Dev
Bespoke native development
Pros
Near-limitless visual customization
Full native Shopify feature support
Cons
Likely the most expensive option
Requires custom code for every design decision
Summary
The safest but likely most expensive option. It requires a developer familiar with Shopify's native UI, and may need an additional designer to guide them. If you go this route, I'd advise working with an agency or freelancer with Shopify-specific experience.
Fully Native
High Cost
Non-LVWHT Solution
LVWHT
Postion
Depending on your needs any of the 3 options may be viable for you.
Our position is that a headless build, used by companies like Kylie Cosmetics, Allbirds, SKIMS, is a perfectly viable solution that allows for cheaper, easier maintenance while still unlocking high-level results.
Transparently, this is because utilizing a front-end website builder like Framer is substantially easier and faster for building bespoke sites, even with the Shopify integration factored in.
Its user-friendliness allows future updates and maintenance to be performed by us quickly and cheaply, or done entirely by you without touching a line of code.

Direction and Alignment
• We'll present a Creative Direction walkthrough to align on vision before anything gets built.
Exploration and Development of Chosen Vision
• Landing Page Design
• Product Page Layouts
• Exploration of promotional features
Shopify & CMS Integration
• We'll sync your existing Shopify products with a Framer CMS collection, giving us access to live stock, pricing, and image data. Adding new products going forward is as simple as entering them in Shopify and hitting sync in Framer — everything formats and goes live automatically.
Note: Proper documentation will be supplied to showcase how this works.
Feedback, Refinement, & Handoff
• We'll submit the design for your review.
• You'll submit feedback.
• We'll implement revisions.
• We'll prepare and deliver final files for handoff.
Note: These timelines are generous estimates, building in time for feedback, obstacles, and testing to ensure the site is fully operational prior to and during handoff.
